European cities need professionals who:

• are involved in social problems in urban areas
• analyze these in a broad national and international social policy perspective
• promote social coherence, social inclusion and the development of social, cultural and economic capital
• are enterprising
• develop new solutions on a local level (strategic and executive)
• make people, organizations and authorities work together and
• work on a high professional and scientific level

Universities from very different parts of Europe want to meet this need.
